Terri M. Baumgardner

 

Terri Marie Baumgardner, 57, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away October 8, 2017. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday October 14, 2017 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be sent to Wayside Waifs and Great Plains SPCA.

 

Terri was born on January 27, 1960 in Independence, MO, daughter of Dale and Rose (Schoonover) Baumgardner. She graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1978 then attended CMSU and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She was a freelance writer for many years for the Kansas City Star and other publications. She was also very involved with local political campaigns. Terri had a passion for animals and often tried to find homes for strays. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include her brother, Les Baumgardner (Peggy) of Blue Springs, MO; nephew, Ryan Baumgardner (Kari) of Lee’s Summit, MO; niece, Megan Baumgardner (fiancé, Ben Wilson) of Roeland Park, KS; great niece, Kenzie Baumgardner; beloved dog, Jasmine; and numerous cousins and friends.
