Robert “Bob” Allen Marlatt of Independence, MO passed away on November 24, 2024. Services to be announced at a later date.

Bob was born on July 18, 1938 to Issac and Mabel (Gordon) Marlatt. He spent most of his career in the trucking industry, however, his love of the outdoors is what made him the happy-go-lucky man that everyone knew. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He also had a passion for anything mechanical including rebuilding tractors.  Robert always put his family first and shared many of his interests with them.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Helen Bartles.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Loma; sons: Lyndon Marlatt, Steve (Cindy) Marlatt, Roy (Anna) Marlatt; daughters: Pam Marlatt, Sheila Marlatt; sisters: Sharon Marlatt, Susan (Jim) Sullivan, Cindy (Floyd) Dray; brothers: Issac (Mary) Marlatt, Jr., John (Liz) Marlatt; grandson, Jesse; several nieces and nephews and step grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to: American Heart Association, 5800 Foxridge DR, Mission, KS 66202 or American Lung Association, 8400 W 110th ST #130, Overland Park, KS 66210.
