James Henry Ray, 70, of Lexington, MO passed away in his home on Tuesday, February 22, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Frist Baptist Church of Lexington, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Village Hospice, c/o John Knox Village, 400 NW Murray Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.
James was born August 19, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to Harmon and Elsie (Skaggs) Ray. On July 14, 1960, James married Patricia Ann (Nordsieck) Ray.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Harmon and Elsie Ray.
His survivors include his wife of 49 years; Patricia of the home; four sons: James Allen (Julie) Ray of Olathe, KS, Jeffrey (Robin) Ray of Independence, MO, Christopher (Melissa) Ray of Lexington, MO, and Brandon (Vita) Ray of Oak Grove, MO; eight grandchildren: Alexis, Zachary, Heather, Nick, Christian, Nicholas, Dakota, and MaLora; and one brother: Harmon Ray Jr. od Dover, MO.
