Gerald Wayne Strever, 70, of Independence, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 at home with his loving family at his side. A private service will be held at a later date.

Gerald was born March 5, 1940 in Los Angeles, California. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and retired after 32 ½ years as a fireman for the Kansas City, MO Fire Department and after 28 years as a driver for Quality Woods Products.

He was preceded in death by his daughter: Kim.

His survivors include his wife: Janice Dudley-Strever of the home; and a daughter: Alisha of Independence, MO; and two stepsons: Bill and Shane both of Independence, MO.
