Jaime M. Nowak


Jaime Marie (Metoyer) Nowak gained her halo and angel wings at her home in Blue Springs, Missouri on Monday, August 1, 2022. A “Celebration of Her Life” will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Blue Springs Assembly of God Church at 2501 NE Duncan Road, Blue Springs, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with service to follow.

Jaime was born to Larry Metoyer and Marilyn (Metoyer) Mora on Sunday February 20, 1977, at Research Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. When Jaime was 15 months old, her father’s job took him to Saudi Arabia. Larry remained overseas until his death in 2018.

Jaime has lived in Blue Springs her entire life playing softball, basketball, high school band playing the trumpet, graduating as a Blue Springs Wildcat in 1995. During this time, she met Todd Gropper. From this relationship, Jaime had her first daughter, Tiffany Elizabeth, born 1996. Jaime moved on with going to St. Joseph Beauty Academy getting her degree in cosmetology. After working in this field for a few years, she began working at the VA Medical Center, where she has put in 17 years. She loved her job, and she loved working with and for the veterans. Christopher and Jaime were married in 2014. She had found her “soulmate”. In this marriage was born Kassidy Myliah (8) and Jazzlyn Dakota (6). They have built their home in Blue Springs where Jaime has become the typical “sports mom”. She always had her doors open for anyone.

Preceding her death was her father, Larry James (2018).

She is survived by her loving husband, Chris; daughters: Tiffany Scott and her husband Danny with grandson of whom she worshipped Ronnie (6); her daughters Kassidy Myliah & Jazzlyn Dakota; her stepdaughters: Anna & Emily; She also leaves her sisters: Rachel & Christy Metoyer, Melissa Mora; niece Mia Allen; sister Jennifer Mora & fiancé Anthony Lent & his two children, Quaid & Karl; and her dad & mom, Alex & Marilyn Mora.

It is her wishes that her body be cremated and later buried at the Blue Springs Cemetery.
