Kimber L. Mathis, 53, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at KU Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22nd at New Life Assembly of God, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Little Niangua Cemetery, Preston, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
Kimber was born May 10, 1959, in Kansas City, MO, the son of Johnny and Lille Juanita “Peach” (Yates) Mathis. He had a passion for hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed classic cars and lifting weights. Kimber especially loved spending time with his family.
Kimber is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Mathis. His survivors include his wife, Michelle of the home; one son, Trevor Mathis of Grain Valley; his mother, Peach Mathis of Preston, MO; brother, Sterling Mathis of Ozark, MO; and sister, Renaye Livingston of Preston.
