James “Jim” Richard Moore, 76, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at his home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Royer Funeral Home; Oak Grove, MO. Funeral Service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sni Mills Cemetery.
Jim was born July 8, 1935 in Independence, MO to Paul & Mabel (Ethington) Moore. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, He was a Glazier by trade and was a member of the Glazer Union, local 558. Jim liked to play checkers and pool. He also enjoyed fishing and bird watching and going to the boat with his daughters. He attended church at Calvery Sounds Church in Independence, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul & Mabel Moore; daughter: Cindy Moore in 1979. Jim is survived by 3 daughters: Deborah Snow & husband Greg of Oak Grove, MO, Marla Williams of Oak Grove, MO, Michelle Williams & husband Anthony of Oak Grove, MO; 1son: Jimmy Moore of Calhoun, MO; 3 brothers: Chuck White, Lloyd White, Lonnie White; 1 sister: Marilyn Young; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
