Trenton A. McRae

Trenton Alan McRae, age 69, passed from this life on January 4, 2023, surrounded by his family.  Trenton was born on January 29, 1953 to Herbert and Jacqueline (LeRoy) McRae in Wichita, Kansas. Trenton graduated from Wichita East High School and Southeast Community College. He attended Bible college at Full Faith Church of Love in Kansas City Kansas and was ordained as a minister on May 31, 1981. Trenton united in marriage to Kimberly McRae (Phillips) on June 22, 1974, at Full Faith Church of Love in Kansas City, Kansas. They were blessed with three children: Rachel Rolf (McRae), Trenton N. McRae, and Benjamin McRae. Trenton worked as a pastor, police and fire chaplain, and short-term mission leader before spending the bulk of his career in the printing business. Along with his wife, Kim, he was active in his church and the Blue Springs community. Trenton found joy in traveling, playing with his grandkids, playing card games with family and friends, and running his printing business. He left us with valuable life lessons, a legacy of faith, and focus on family, love, and generosity.  His sharp sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Trenton was preceded in death by his father.

He leaves his mother, Jacqueline McRae; wife, Kim, of the home; daughter Rachel and husband Adam Rolf and grandson John Jordan (JJ); son Trenton and wife Hayley (Siebman) and granddaughter on-the-way; son Ben and wife Amber (Bohon) and granddaughter Emma and grandson Everett. He also leaves a brother, Tony McRae and wife Mary; sisters Terri Nichols and husband Chris and Treva Gilley and husband Danny; along with many other loved ones including extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Blue Springs Assembly on January 14, 2023 at 3:00. The family will receive visitors in advance of the service from 1:30-3:00. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations in Trenton’s memory be made to the 11q Research & Resource Group (https://www.11qusa.org/donate), which has provided invaluable resources to our family as we’ve navigated Trenton’s grandson JJ’s diagnosis of Jacobsen Syndrome.

Obituary submitted by family.

  1. Wish I could have been there, but due to my health, I couldn’t make the trip from Oklahoma. I remember when he was at Geuda Springs, Ks and the church listened to my talk. They raised a barrel of clothes and a barrel of toys to send to me in Korea for an orphanage a few of us GIs we’re going to give Christmas to those kids. Thank you, Trenton and all.

  2. Cousin Randy McRae from Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631 , to think we all started in Wichita, K, then scattered like leaves in a blowing wind. From California to Oklahoma, to Blue Springs, Mo. May our Lord bless and keep us all in His time, Amen !
