Dennis Scott Keyes, 64, Of Independence, MO passed away November 3, 2011 at Truman Medical Lakewood. Dennis was born January 1947 to Wayne and Mary (Moore) Keyes, He lived in the Independence area all his life. He was a 1965 graduate of William Chrisman High School. His memberships include the 1st Methodist Church of Independence and the Boy Scouts Troop 231. (Mic-O-Say Tribe). He was a Scout Leader and Teacher. He received the Eagles Scout and God and Country awards. He earned many badges of honor. Dennis attended Draughn’s Business Collage, K.C. Art Institute, and the Georgia Art Institute. Dennis was a Freelance artist and business owner.
He has relatives on his father’s side that are registered with the Mayflower Society of Descendants. Dennis is survived by his beloved family; wife, Elizabeth; brother, Bruce Keyes; and sister, Nancy Keyes Hart.
The family will have a Private Memorial Service that is pending.
