Jill Ann (Hotson) Phar, 49, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020.   Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21st with memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO.

Jill Ann (Hotson) Phar was born in Independence, MO on October 14, 1970 to Jim and Mary Jane Hotson. She graduated from Truman High School, class of ’88. Jill revered her parents and it was her wish to give back to them and enrich their lives in whatever way she could. She was always a generous and thoughtful person, who loved to give gifts, and was always kind to others, even strangers. She had a sincere desire to always help others, and to be kind to those in need. She was a true animal lover and cared for her pets as if they were her children. Jill had 5 nieces and a nephew. Nicole, Natalie, and Erica, Doug’s daughters, and Laura, Cary, and Danny from Scott. As youths, Jill loved buying them gifts, and making sure they had all the latest styles of everything. Her nieces have fond memories of Jill dressing them, doing their hair and nails, making them glamourous! Jill was a devoted daughter, who bravely cared for her Father, Jim, through his agonizing end-of-life struggles through Alzheimer’s disease. Jill suffered from ill health for many of her last years, and she was often in great discomfort. She expressed great sorrow at the passing of her father in 2015, and her mother, in 2019, often saying she still couldn’t accept their loss, and that they still seemed very near to her. Now she is reunited with them, and her brother, forever. God bless her.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents, and her oldest brother, Doug.  She is survived by three brothers, Scott Hotson, Mike Davis, and Bobby Davis.
