Mildred Irene “Toots” Jennings, 88, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Services will be 11:30 AM.; Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. Burial and Sni Mills Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice Advantage, 16 Westwoods Dr., liberty, MO 64068.
Irene was born December 4, 1921 and Crocker, MO to Thomas H. and Elizabeth (Long) Long. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Oak Grove, MO, and loved cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas H. and Elizabeth Long; her husband: Bryce E. Jennings; five brothers, four sisters, and one grandson: Grant.
Her survivors include three daughters: Sue Neubauer and husband, Bob of Grain Valley, MO, Audrey Czar and husband, Harold of Shell Knob, MO, and Beth Jennings and husband, Alan of Odessa, MO; one sister: Evelyn Wall of Bonner Springs, KS; one sister-in-law: Ethel Long of blue Springs, MO; three brother in laws: Dale Jennings of Clifton, MO, Glenn Jennings of Lebanon, MO, and Otis Jennings and his wife, Jane of Richland, MO; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
