Hilda King, 87, of Kansas City, died August 5, 2010, at John Knox Care Center of Lee’s Summit. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 9th at Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 8th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.
Hilda was born August 4, 1923 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Thomas and Imogene (Wolfe) Gray. She married Elmer King Jr. in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 2003. She was a member of Graphic Comm. Union.
In addition to her husband, Hilda was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas E. King.
She is survived by one son: Richard King & wife, Wanda, of Cookeville, TN; five grandchildren: Kandy Chapman of Louisburg, KS, Chris King, Tom King, & Catie King, all of Blue Springs, MO, & Tina King of Pleasant Hill, MO; seven great-grandchildren: Macy & Nick Chapman, Mike, Autumn & Misty Worrel, Sara Eicher, & Caitlynn King; ten great great-grandchildren: Jon, Tom, Chris, Justin, Angel, Hayden, Kelly, Katrina, Michael, & Mariah; three brothers: John Gray of Lee’s Summit, MO, Frank Gray of Kansas City, MO, & Tom Gray of CA; and two sisters: Mary Auman of FL & Lula Peterie of Kansas City.
