Forest was born on January 27, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Lenora (Banks) Honeyball. His father passed away when he was only eight years old making him the man of the house at a young age.
Forest and his family moved to Independence, Missouri in 1940. He went to Spring Branch Elementary when it was still a two-room school house, and graduated from Chrisman High school in 1947.
Forest met the love of his life, Marilyn Wingate, in May of 1949. They married September 1, 1950, shortly before he was drafted September 28 for service in the Army during the Korean War. He and Marilyn would go on to have three children: Marilyn Sue Honeyball, Patricia Carol McGinnis, and Forest Robert Honeyball.
As a member of the RLDS church, Forest was well-known by all for his strong moral fortitude. He was sure to instill this into his family. He was a fixer by trade and passion and could fix just about anything. He worked maintenance for most of his post Army career, retiring as the Supervisor of Maintenance at Saint Joseph Hospital in 1987.
Forest had many hobbies. He loved riding motorcycles, square dancing, listening to country music, watching westerns, and most of all traveling. He found great joy in getting in the car just to drive and watch the scenery pass him by.
Forest passed on March 16, 2023 in Independence, Missouri at 95 years of age. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Max Honeyball. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his three children; three granddaughters, Amy (Matt) Boucher, Katie Malolo, and Kimberly (Berto) Murillo; three grandsons, Russel McGinnis, Jon (Jenessa) Sponamore, and Jeff (Eryka) Honeyball; four great grandsons, Nate Boucher, Jake Boucher, Josh Boucher, and Maxim Murillo; two great granddaughters, Sophie Murillo and Alyssa Sponamore; his sister, Marise; and many nieces and nephews.
