Jake Jackson Monteer, 42, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3rd in Bates City Cemetery, Bates City, MO.
Jake was born on July 8, 1981, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of David Earl and Terri Lynn (Harris) Monteer. He loved riding motorcycles since he was about 13. Jake was able to fix anything mechanical. He was a jokester, never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone out. In his younger years, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and hunting.
Jake’s survivors include his parents, David and Terri Monteer; daughter, Rayne Marie Monteer; sister, Dawn Harris; niece, Shana Monteer; and six nephews: Chris Monteer, Aric Monteer, Alex Harris, Nicholas DeOliveira, Isaac DeOliveira, and Blake DeOliveira. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Monteer, and grandpa, Earl Monteer.
