Marlon D. Bone of Independence, Missouri was born December 26, 1935 in Bayou Meto, Arkansas to Elmer & Idell Bone.  Marlon left us July 1, 2023.  He is preceded in death by son Thomas.  He is survived by his wife Jo Ann, sons Steve (Dana) and Monte (Danette), daughter-in-law Cathy, grandchildren Devon, Brooklynne, Andrew and Jessica, and great grandchildren Brandi, Ellie, Andy, Gunnar, Akir, Hazel & Mena.

Marlon (Mac as he was called by his co-workers) worked his entire 31-year career at AT&T.  During his career and retirement, he moved over 80 times.  He was stationed in the southwest United States early in his career, finally transferring to Kansas City.  He loved working for AT&T.

Visitation will be 2pm Friday, July 7, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO.  Service will follow at 3pm.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in Marlon’s name.
