Lucille R. Savage

Lucille “Lucy” Ruth Savage, 81, of Grandview, Missouri passed away Monday, November 27, 2023.  Funeral services will be held Monday, December 4,2023 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, Missouri at 2:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. 

Lucille was born on February, 16, 1942 in Delta, Colorado, daughter of James and Ruth (Foskett) Savage.  She was a member of The Church of Christ with the Elijah Message in Independence, Missouri. Lucille loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed having fun bowling, dancing and listening to music, especially Elvis. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Alice Ruth Sanders.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Denise (Everett) Murphy of Blue Springs, MO; son, Brian (Kathy) Shields of Independence, MO; son, Scott Shields of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Cassandra VanNatta, Echo McConnell, Sean, David, and Christopher Sanders; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings: Gerald Savage of Caledonia, MS, James C. Savage of Grain Valley, MO, Laura O’Keefe of Delta, CO, John (Joy) Savage of Holt, MO, Paul Savage of Grain Valley, MO, Lola (Donnie) Brown of Dawn, MO and Tim (Marcia) Savage of McKinney, TX.

    Lucy, so many memories, especially when the kids were small. Lots of fun at Aunt Leta’s Sunday dinners. Kids running everywhere, fried chicken, chocolate cake, laughter…….
