Paul Wayne Jennings, 69, of Mayview, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. A memorial graveside will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9th in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa, MO.
Paul was born on August 21, 1954, in Mayview, MO, the son of Victor L. and Beulah A. (Ball) Jennings. He attended First Baptist Church in Mayview as a child and graduated from Odessa High School. Paul lived his life in Mayview, where he enjoyed music, laughter, and time spent with loved ones and friends. He also enjoyed working on anything mechanical. Paul was nicknamed “Burr” by his dad, and he carried on that tradition giving nicknames to everyone he knew. He had his own way of being – with a “say what you mean and mean what you say” attitude. Paul was a hard worker and took pride in the work he did. He was a machine operator at Winn Cup in Higginsville for many years and then Tyson’s in Concordia until he retired. He will be greatly missed.
Paul’s survivors include, Lillie Jennings of the home; son, Paul Jesse Jennings of West Plains; four siblings: Raymond Jennings, Janice Dukes, Penny Pollard, and Connie Lunt, all of Higginsville, MO; and many nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles.
