Cecil Owen Soper, 89, of Oak Grove, Missouri, moved on to his eternal home on March 13, 2024, surrounded by family. A family hosted graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
Cecil was born on February 1, 1935, in Alpena, Michigan, the son of Clarence and Lula (Oliver) Soper. He proudly served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. On July 23, 1960, Cecil and Darlene Joy Bailey were united in marriage. From that union, they were blessed with 3 children: son, Kenneth Soper, and daughters, Pamela Soper and Rogina (Soper) Johnson.
Cecil was a faithful believer and follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member and served as an Elder in the Restructured Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Cecil is survived by his wife, children, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, and a son-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Alice, brother Ted, and grandsons, Nephi Soper and Joshua Fitzpatrick.
