Dr. Brent McClain Rogan, 49, of Blue Springs and Independence, MO, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Brent was born December 3, 1974, in San Antonio, TX. He was the loving son of Patrick C. and Barbara (Withrow) Rogan.
Brent grew up in Greenville, SC. At a very young age, he developed a passion for sports and excelled in them all, especially Football and Baseball. As Brent got older, he began coaching several different sports (Football, Baseball, Wrestling and Basketball). He coached children of all ages from Little League to Highschool, for over 30 years. One of Brent’s proudest accomplishments as a coach was when he served as the Defensive Coordinator for the Football team at Jordan High School in Durham, NC. During his 5 years with Jordan High School, his defensive team was ranked #1 in the state for 3 of those years.
Brent would go on to play Football for the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, while he attended school there. He graduated from UNC in 1997 with a degree in Exercise Physiology. In 2008, Brent moved to Blue Springs, MO to be closer to his older brother, Sean. Shortly after arriving in Missouri, Brent made the decision to follow in Sean’s footsteps and become a Chiropractor. After graduating from Cleveland Chiropractic College (Overland Park, KS) in 2013, Brent joined Sean at his Chiropractic office in Blue Springs, where he worked until his passing.
Brent is preceded in death by his Father, Patrick Rogan; his brother, Jeffery Rogan; Paternal Grandparents, Robert and Mary Rogan; Maternal Grandparents, Earnest Withrow and Grace Withrow Baker, and many Aunts and Uncles.
Brent is survived by his mother, Barbara Rogan; Brothers, Brian Rogan and Dr. Sean (Lana) Rogan; Sister, Dr. Courtney Rogan; Nephews, Jaxon and McClain Rogan and Niece, Mayci Rogan. He is also Survived by his girlfriend of 10 years, Melinda Shawver; her children, Ryan and Ginger Shawver and their beloved fur-baby, Dallas.
Brent was dearly loved and will be missed by many. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Royer Funeral Home (100 Royer Ln. Grain Valley, MO 64029). In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Fike Baseball (www.fikebaseball.com).

10 Jul 2024I just found out about this today when I went in to the chiropractic office. My deepest condolences go out to Dr. Brent’s loved ones. He was such a sweet guy who loved to laugh at my weird jokes and was such a good doctor. He will be very missed.
