Pamela LaDean Masten, 73, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO.
Pamela was born December 8, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of William J. Jr. and Eleaner L. (Wells) Chilson. She loved cooking, baking, canning, sewing, taking care of her family and doing what grandma’s love best: spoil her grandbabies! Her family meant so much to her and will continue to be her greatest legacy.
Her best friend, Mary Kay, is responsible for introducing her cousin John to Pamela which later became the greatest love story John and Pamela would come to know. John and Pamela were married for 53 years! They loved to spend time together fishing and traveling, but most importantly, they simply enjoyed being together.
When she could sneak away, she enjoyed many Thelma and Louise adventures (minus the cliff!) with Mary Kay.
She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Pamela is preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill Chilson. She is survived by her loving spouse John Masten; daughter Johnnie Masten; son Robert Masten (Hollie); five grandchildren: Sequoia Anne Garcia (Tony), Kaya Williamson, Lila Masten, Cheyenne Masten, and Thad Masten; and great-grandchild Vincente Garcia.
Arrangements: Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO 816-690-4441
