Gary Dean Harmsen, 76, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 12, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Crossroads Church, 900 NW Jefferson, Grain Valley, MO. Service to follow at 3:30 p.m. Inurnment at 4:30 p.m. in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, Missouri.
Gary was born January 13, 1948 in Marshalltown, IA. After his service in the United States Air Force, Gary worked for the US Department of Agriculture until his retirement. In retirement, Gary resided in Grain Valley, MO and his favorite place in the world was at the ballfields watching his grandchildren play baseball and softball. He was their biggest fan and supporter.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Ardis Harmsen, Sister Bev Harmsen, and Brother-in-Law Rick Frette.
Gary is survived and loved by his son Mike (Katie) Harmsen, Grandchildren Easton, Carter, Grace, Cain, and Maxwell, Sister Shirley Frette, Niece Stefanie and Nephew Ryan.
