Margot LaVere King, 84, of Independence, MO, passed away August 6, 2020.
Memorial service will be 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Sheffield Family life Center West Campus 1215 Benton Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64127. Parking in the rear. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ALS.org

Margot was born April 20, 1936 in Morehouse, MO to William H. & Lucia (Simmons) Trovillion. She was a member of Loving God Evangel Ministries for 20 plus years. Margot loved to travel to New York every year with her sister and niece, going to shows and seeing the sights. She also traveled with her grandchildren and cherished making memories with them. Margot attended and participated in activities with the Salvation Army. She was extremely talented in baking cakes and did so with love.
Margot was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Rose King; daughter in law: Carolyn Stancil.
Margot is survived by 4 sons: Robert Allen Stancil (Maria), Mark David Stancil (Debbie), James Stancil (Carolyn), Darin King (Jenny); cousin: Gaynell Hodges; best friend: Della Frazier; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

15 Aug 2020I really love Margo she was there for my mom when my father passed away she was there for my mom when sick and in the hospital she sit there with her day and night , when we couldn’t even be there I talk to my her all the time . I’m really gonna to miss her .especially her baking those cookies and cake Margo you are my auntie not just a friend love you ,Rosie Jordan Della Frazier daughter
