Dennis K. Wilson

Dennis Keith Wilson, while surrounded by his family, went to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, after his hard-fought battle with cancer.

Dennis was born August 26, 1962, at Memorial Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He worked for GSA as a Civilian Payroll Technician, proudly retiring after 40 years.

Dennis had a steadfast faith that never wavered. Prayer was a highlight of his spiritual path, and he was always striving to walk in spiritual principles. Dennis had a strong passion for Narcotics Anonymous and helping the still suffering addict. He loved attending a variety of meetings all around the area, and he was especially fond of NA conventions. He always shared that NA gave him the life he dreamed of, and the people he met in the program were friends that became family.

You could always find him with a book (or two) in his hand, sharing about his latest read, or talking about his prodigious personal collection. He loved to gift books and especially enjoyed reading to children.

Dennis was a die-hard Chiefs, Royals, and Mizzou fan. He was the go-to guru for latest stats and player info. He had an impressive knowledge of the history of the Chiefs and Royals and was not afraid to go to bat with anyone who disagreed that Patrick Mahomes was the greatest quarterback of all time. Some of his favorite players included George Brett, Bobby Witt Jr, Brady Cook, Bo Jackson, and Derrick Thomas.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Donna L. (Frasher) Wilson.

He is survived by his father, Jerry L. Wilson (Judy); his children, Dustin Moss (Katelin) and Haley Wilson; grandchildren, Michaela and Adalyn Smith; brothers, Greg, Richard, and Brad Wilson; stepbrothers, Patrick, John, and Michael Clark.

In honor of his final wishes, in lieu of flowers, Dennis asked that donations be made to the KU Med Cancer Center.
