George L. Busse

George Lee Busse, 96, formerly of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.  Cremation.  A celebration of life and graveside service will be held at a later date.

George was born October 4, 1923 in Arma, Kansas, the son of Carl and Annie (Ekis) Busse.  He worked at Bendix for 28 years.  George was a proud Veteran of WWII serving under General Patton in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the VFW Elks Lodge and The American Legion.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time garage sale-ing, and antiquing.

George was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, George Busse Jr. and Carey Busse.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Busse of the home; children: Georgette Dixion, Sharon Furman, John Busse, Deanna Kissel, Tim Busse, and Tom Busse; stepchildren: Diane Bryant and Kenneth Ballard, Jr; sisters, Eva Baker and Joann Forman; and brothers, Larry Busse and Carl Busse, Jr.

God saw that he was getting tired, a cure was not to be.

So he put His arms around him and whispered, “Come with Me.”

With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer and saw him fade away.

Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
