Delbert was an avid hunter and farmer. He enjoyed many trips with a group of guys he considered family for years in the mountains of Wyoming. He enjoyed growing a garden and passing on his love for that to his kids and grandkids. He was an animal lover and always had dogs around him. His love for the outdoors was only matched by the love he had for his family. Delbert was a proud father to Bart, Tammy and Gina.
Those who knew him will remember his kind, gentle nature. He had a knack for the simple life and enjoyed spending time at his home of 50 years in Sibley whether it was hunting mushrooms, stoking his wood stove, or tending his garden.
Delbert is survived by his son Bart Bridges and wife April, daughters Tammy Pennington and her partner Ron and Gina Nix and husband Kevin, his grandchildren Joe and Emily Bridges, Michael and Kayla Pennington, Dylan, Kelsea and Kody Nix, Jason Bassett and Dawn McIntire as well as 33 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Sharon, Linda and Laura and husband Bud, and sisters in laws Teresa and husband Norm, Carolyn and husband Jim and Glenda and brother-in-law Terry Messina and wife Penny and numerous nieces and nephews.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents his wife Janice, sister Barbara and brother Claude.
