
Betty Ann McCauley, 83, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Silverado Lee’s Summit. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO. Betty was born April 30, 1942, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, the daughter of Richard and Helen B. (Ashe) McClendon. She was a 1960 graduate of Lee’s Summit High School. Betty had worked at Western Electric and American Trophy before becoming a Supervisor at Honeywell, where she retired from in 2004. She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting, and going to play the slot machines at the casino. But her greatest joy in life was being a mom and Mimi.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol Grote; and infant grandson, Gregory Jason McCauley.
Her survivors include two sons, Steve McCauley (Leah) of Sunrise Beach, MO, and Lance McCauley (Karen) of Lee’s Summit, MO; seven grandchildren: Charles Garrison (Ashley) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Amy Luther of North Kansas City, MO, Katelynn Kirby of Greenwood, MO, Audra McCauley of Sunrise Beach, MO, Brandon McCauley (Alex) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Alexis Torrez (Keith) of Greenwood, MO, and Cara Maples McCauley (fiancé Devin Hines) of Cleveland, TN; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother, Richard McClendon (Sheila) of Kingsville, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
