Warren H. Smith, 87, entered into the arms of his Savior, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Warren was born to Walter and Eva Smith on July 20, 1938.
He was preceded in death by his Father Walter Smith, Mother Eva (Grippen) Smith, Sister Marguerite Horn and Brother Raymond Smith, Niece Valarie Delrocco, Son-in-law David Bennett.
Warren spent his working years as a union journeyman carpenter. He worked in all phases of carpentry, ranging from concrete to drywall to trim carpentry. His skill, craftsmanship, and close attention to detail left a lasting mark on every project he touched, including his own home.
His work was more than an occupation— it was an art. He took pride in building things that would endure all of the tests and trials that time has in store. Outside of work, Warren was an avid fisherman and pheasant hunter. He loved the outdoors and found joy in the gentle quiet of nature, whether walking the fields or casting a line. These pastimes were also a way he connected with friends and family, passing down his knowledge, traditions and stories with every outing.
Above all, Warren’s greatest joy came from his family. He cherished time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—whether celebrating milestones, gathering for the holidays, or simply enjoying each other’s company. He was a man of steady faith, whose kindness, humor, and generosity touched countless lives. This great man will live on, forever cherished in the hearts and minds of every person who had the privilege to know him.
Warren is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Martha Smith; his brother Leonard (Pat) Smith; Step Daughters Renee (Dan) Newman, Ronda (Tom) McGuire, Laura (Ron) Key, daughter Eva (Dan) Phillips, son Warren (Melinda) Bowers; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; Nieces and nephews and many cousins’ family and friends.
