Linda S. Blair


Linda Sue Blair, 70, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23rd at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Sni Mills Cemetery, Oak Grove.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Linda was born November 26, 1948 in Blue Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Irene E. (Kabrick) Baxter.  She was a Godly Christian woman and was a member of the Unified Church of Christ.  She enjoyed flowers and gardening, sewing, shopping, making crafts, and loved reading her Bible.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lois Gann; a brother, James Baxter; and a grandson, Jeremey David Blair.

Her survivors include her husband, Forrest Blair of the home; three children: Brenda Shelton (Jack) of Springfield, MO, Dewane Blair of Blue Springs, and Matthew Brian Blair (Natalie) of Independence, MO; eight grandchildren: Joshua Barnes, Amy Shelton, Zachary Lee Blair, Micheal Blair, Nicholas Blair, Jacob Blair, Caleb Blair, and Mattlin Blair; twelve great-grandchildren: Cheyanne, Joshua, George, Georgia, Ashton, Diamond, Mackayla, McKinnzie, Marie, Jeremey, Brandon, and Christina; and four sisters: Mary Lou Cox of Oak Grove, Shirley A. Myers of Lake Tapawingo, MO, Dorothy Nichols of Belle Plains, KS, and Janice K. Coatney of Independence, MO.
