Patricia Renee Bly, 70, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Powell Gardens in her name.
Patricia was born January 13, 1947, in Brunswick, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde and Jenny (Trussell) Knight. She loved cats, rescuing many over her lifetime. Patricia liked to fish, and enjoyed the butterfly gardens at Powell Gardens. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Mike Knight.
Her survivors include her husband, John R. Bly of the home; three sons: Todd Gates (Brooke Smith) of Odessa, Jeff Gates (Bev) of Odessa, and Jason Gates of Oak Grove, MO; six grandchildren: Kaila Gates-Walter (Link), Wyatt Gates, Brandon Gates, Zack Smith (Dabika), Regan Huffel (Nathan), and Olive Smith, all of Odessa; one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Janice Kennedy of AZ; sister-in-law, Mary Knight of Odessa; niece, Loretta Knight; and nephew, Mitchel Knight.
