Gerald Mann Waddell, 87, of Stover, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Gerald was born December 5, 1932 in Lexington, Missouri, son of Egan and Gladys Audrey Waddell. He was a Korean War Veteran. Gerald worked at Sears and Roebuck, Westinghouse, Vendo’s Kenworth and the RII School District, where he retired from in 1996. He liked to stay busy. Raising livestock to gardening but Gerald said his best crop was raising his kids. His storytelling will be fondly remembered by all.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou; his parents; and sister, Bonnie Stone.
He is survived by his children: Gordon Waddell, Dennis Waddell (Deena), Audrey Barney, and Kathie Selvey (Larry); 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
