Ronald J. Bradstreet


Ronald Jay Bradstreet, 71, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.  He wanted no service, but his life will be celebrated by family and friends at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, contributions for grandchildren’s education fund can be mailed to the Bradstreet residents.

Ron was born September 18, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa, to William E. and Frances L. (McPherson) Bradstreet.  He was a graduate of Central High School and attended Grand View College.  Ron married his wife of fifty years, Janice Stanley, on March 8, 1969 in Des Moines, Iowa.  He started his career in 1969 with Metz Baking in Des Moines and transferred to Omaha, NE in 1980, where they raised their children.  Ron and Janice moved to Blue Springs, MO in 1993 where they raised grandchildren and retired together.  He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and quality family time.  Ron was an avid sportsman.  He loved to play golf and fish. In his younger years, he was a well-known fast pitch softball pitcher.

Ron is survived by his wife Janice Bradstreet; his beloved children, Chris and Shannon Bradstreet, Ronald L. Bradstreet, Julie and Jason Collins, and Jennifer and Kevin Mausbach.  He was a beloved grandfather to Tyler and Jenelle Mausbach, and Mason, Marley, and Michaela Bradstreet.  He also leaves behind his brothers, Gary and Lynda Bradstreet from Madison, and Billy and Janet Bradstreet from Sioux City, IA.
