Gwen Elaine (McConnell) Brown, 69, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. A Celebration of Life is being held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22nd at New Liberty Baptist Church, 32310 E. Colbern Road, Oak Grove, MO 64075.
In memory of a loving, caring and dedicated mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. Gwen is survived by her sons Richard and Dennis Brady, daughter June Brown, husband Harold Rathbone, and brother Gary McConnell. She leaves a legacy of six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She joins her son Emmitt Brown, her brother Billy McConnell, her mother Mable McConnell, and her father Bill McConnell. Our mother is known for her nurturing, caring and selfless behavior. She has spent her life in service to her family and often her friends. Mom loved to cook, listen to music, bake, read, travel, and anything and everything Christmas.
