David James Buckner, 69, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020. His ashes will be spread in Laughlin, NV, and memorial services will be held at a later date.
David was born in Springfield, MO, the son of John and Helen (Willoughby) Buckner. He was a 1969 graduate of Truman High School. David was a truck mechanic for over 30 years. He enjoyed going to the casino and loved going to and watching drag races, but his passion was restoring classic cars.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda in 2016; and brother, Scott Buckner.
His survivors include two sons: Jeff Schrader (Sheila) of Bankston, AL, and Kevin Schrader (Chris) of LaCygne, KS; four grandchildren: Samuel Schrader of Kansas City, KS, Tyler Schrader (Amanda) of Blue Springs, MO, Sarah Lewis (Nick) of Paola, KS, and Noah Schrader of LaCygne, KS; brother, John Buckner (Janeece) of Independence, MO; sister, Jane Wilson (Tom) of Independence, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
