Juanita J. Campbell


Juanita June Campbell, 85, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6th with the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at New Salem Funeral Home; burial in New Salem Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Ascend Hospice, 783 NE Anderson Lane, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064.

Juanita was born June 12, 1931 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of William Golden Williams and Lydia Alma Vaughn. She loved religious TV, music and going to church. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Versailles, MO.  Juanita enjoyed traveling, fishing, and playing bingo with friends at her apartment complex.  She was also very conscientious about nutrition.  Above all, she cherished her family and grandchildren.

Juanita is survived by 3 daughters: Juanita Luann (Paul) Damm of Phoenix AZ, Margie (Johnie) Brown, and Wilma Campbell-Savage, both of Independence MO; 1 brother, Thomas (Carlene) Williams of Blytheville, AR; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Campbell; her parents; 2 brothers, Merle and Earl Williams; 2 sisters, Patricia Farris and Louella Smith; grandson, Richard Brown; and granddaughter, Ashland Etzenhouser.
