James “Jim” Orren Dryer, 72, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri passed away at Research Medical Center after a long illness on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5th in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
Jim was born on March 20, 1946 in Kansas City, MO, son of Virgil and Gladys (Anderson) Dryer. He was in the printing industry for 40 years. His beloved wife, Gladys has been waiting for him. He is survived by his sons, Jimmie, Aaron and Ronnie; granddaughters, Samantha Jo and Tamara; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Rylan and Jade; brother, Roby Dryer; and sister, Dorothy Nixon, who will miss him greatly. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine who passed away on the same day in 1956; and brother, Jerry who passed away in 2011.
