Allen Skiles, 82, of Independence, Mo., died Tuesday, September 2,2020 at North Kansas City Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Smithville Lake-Crows Creek Shelter #9 Smithville, MO. Private Burial.
Allen was born on June 18,1938 in Kimball, Nebraska to Floyd W. and Ruth E. Skiles. He was employed at General Motors for several years and retired from Bayer Chemical Co. after 20+ years. Allen loved his community and enjoyed mowing for others. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his wife Patricia J. (Hack) Skiles.
Allen is survived by two sons: Michael A. Skiles and daughter-in-law Colleen Skiles of Grain Valley, MO, William T. Skiles and daughter-in-law Sarah Skiles of Monett, MO; four grandchildren: Morgan Walls, Derek Skiles, Cash Skiles and Layne Skiles; two great grandchildren: Aubrey Walls and Asher Walls; two brothers: Gary Skiles of Clovis, CA., Newton Skiles of North Littlerock, AR; two sisters: Wilmet (Billie) Marlatt of Roswell, NM and Pat Korcek of Columbus, NE.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
