Dana Renee Glenn, 49, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 20th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Great Plains SPCA, 21001 East MO-78 Hwy, Independence, MO 64057.
Dana was born on October 20, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Donald Harold and Mary Joan (Lang) Lakey. She was a graduate of William Chrisman High School and worked for 20 years in the trucking industry in Kansas City. Dana was a fabulous cook and loved baking with family and friends. She was a rock music fan, car enthusiast, and enjoyed bowling and riding Harley motorcycles. She was an animal lover who referred to her cats, Harley and Liza, as her babies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Joan Lakey; Her survivors include her brother, David (Angela) Lakey of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Denise (Tracy) Roberts of Oak Grove, MO and Karen (Terry) Van Winkle of Independence, MO; nephews, Clayton and Nicholas Lakey; nieces, Kelsey (Jared) Lentz, Joni and Jessica Roberts; and great- niece Taryn Lentz. She was loved and will be missed by a host of extended family and friends
