Dusty Dawn (Carl) Gregory, 48, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO; burial in New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dusty was born November 16, 1966, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Lee R. and Ina M. (Goss) Carl. She graduated from Olathe North High School in 1985. Dusty later received her LPN nursing license from AVTS in Kansas City, KS. She worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Olathe, Kansas for 15 years. Dusty married Jack Gregory on March 17, 1989. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and cooking. Dusty was known for being witty and bringing a smile to everyone she came into contact with.
Her survivors include her daughter, Brittany Gregory of Independence; her mother, Ina Brown of Independence; four brothers: Jim Carl of Lawson, MO, Max Carl of Texas, Donnie Carl of Indiana, & Brandon Brown of Independence; sister, Rose Lynn Carl of Texas; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins.
