Natalie J. Hampton


Natalie Jo Cort Hampton, 40, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 28, 2016.  She was born at MCI hospital in Independence, MO on February 22, 1976.

Natalie attended Fox High School in Arnold, MO and continued on to graduate as a pharmacy technician.

She married Michael Hampton and considered her greatest accomplishments her three children: Anastasia, Katarina and Xavier.

She was welcomed into Heaven by our Lord, and again into the loving arms of her father, Lawrence R. Cort and her grandparents: Lloyd R. & Mary Lou Cort and Carl W. Haney who passed before her.

She is survived by her parents: James E. & Joyce A. Sallee of Oak Grove, MO., Children:  Anastasia Cort of Arnold, MO and Katarina & Xavier Hampton of Oak Grove, MO, Grandmother: Margaret Haney of Eureka, KS and numerous relatives and life-long friends.

She was a loving, caring, compassionate young women with a strong spirit and fought through kidney failure, dialysis, a kidney transplant and then cancer with determination and a positive attitude. Her bright light and spirit now shines from Heaven above. She will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched but she will remain forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 400 SE 14th St., Oak Grove, MO on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, an education fund is being set up for Natalie’s children at the Central Bank of the Midwest in Oak Grove.
