Elizabeth Jean Horton, 79, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away January 1, 2017. A visitation will be held on Friday January 6, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. A funeral will follow at 2:00 pm also at the funeral home; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Phillipsburg, MO, daughter of Dwight and Ada (McFarland) Alexander. She loved visiting her family and friends, was an avid Chiefs fan, and she enjoyed taking care of her plants and flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister, Marguerite Powers; and 1 brother, James Alexander.

Her survivors include her 2 daughters, Pamela Huenefeld (Charles) of Blue Springs, MO, and Janice Lively of Longmont, CO; 4 grandchildren, Tara Wilson (Rob) of Monroe, WA, Samuel Scaggs of Raleigh, NC, Lynsey “Holli” Huenefeld of Blue Springs, MO, and Joshua Lively of Arvada, CO; 5 great-grandchildren, Anna Wilson, Chloe Wilson, Claire Wilson, Peyton Brown and Alexis Brown; and lots of nieces, nephews and extended family.
