Harold R. LaHue


Harold Ray LaHue, 79, of Appleton City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO; burial in Salem Cemetery, Independence.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Harold was born September 13, 1938, in Matthews, Missouri, the son of George and Muriel (Ditto) LaHue.  He was a heavy equipment operator with Union Local 101 for 50 years.  Harold was a faithful member of Appleton City Baptist Church, where he served at a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin brother, Farold LaHue.

His survivors include his wife, Delores LaHue of the home; three sons: Kenny LaHue of Butler, MO, Eugene LaHue, and Randall LaHue, both of Kansas City, KS; five stepchildren; several grandchildren; brother, Jim LaHue of WA; and four sisters: Birdie Kegerries of Harrisonville, MO, Sue Hicks of West Plains, MO, Mildred Coble of Olathe, KS, and Betty Feidner of IN.

If you can read this on the other side of the river, I want to say that I have enjoyed our visits especially in the last few weeks when it was obvious that you were soon going to be in the presence of Jesus. I enjoyed your testimony right down to the end of this life with it’s disappointments. If there is fishing on that bank, I beg you to save a few big ones for me.
