Colby was born August 12, 1992, in Independence, MO, the son of Bradley T. Sr. and Donna L. (Boyce) Lyons.  He was a 2011 graduate of Grain Valley High School, where he was an all-conference football player.  After high school, Colby worked in home remodeling, enjoyed coaching Little League sports, and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He became an uncle at the age of 4 and took on a role that became his defining role in life.  Colby took being an uncle very seriously.  From cuddling and watching Iron Giant to setting up cones in the yard to run football drills, The Colbster was the uncle of all uncles.  Known to the youngest of the family as Uncle CoCo, he developed a love of superheroes, his favorite being Iren Man.  In high school, his friends lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Colby” and embraced the children that toddled behind him.  Colby spent the last years of his life showing the world what true love looked like when he loved Penny.  She lit up his life and became known as Aunt Penny, accepting the relationships he had created as her own and he became Uncle CoCo to her nieces and nephews.  They matched each other perfectly.

Colby was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents, Bill & Betty Lyons; his maternal grandpa, George Boyce; and his best friend, Tyler Danner.

His survivors include his mother, Donna Boysen of Parkville, MO; his fiancé, Penelope Lloyd of Independence; three sisters: Tracie Lyons-Lorimer (Mike) of Independence, Brandie Lyons of Oak Grove, and Ashley Lyons (fiancé David Sargent) of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Bradley Lyons Jr of Parkville; nine nieces; six nephews; his maternal grandma, Sandy Boyce; and several loving aunts and uncles.
