George E. Manley, 73, of Oak Grove, MO passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.  He was preceded in death by his father, Earl J. Manley and his mother, Erma M. Manley.  George is survived by two brothers, Edward Manley of Sedalia MO, & Ted Manley of Sioux Falls ID; two sisters, Joyce Thompson of Oak Grove, & Carol Kirksey of Independence MO; his twin sister, Grace Cowhick of Independence; his four children: Steve Manley of Independence, Janet Dick of Independence, David Manley of Warrensburg MO, & Laura Larcom of Harrisonville MO; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

George served in the United States Navy as a young man before working many years in the auto mechanic industry.  However, what we will remember most about George is he was a kind, caring and loving Dad, grandpa, brother and uncle.

A celebration of George’s life will take place Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 10:00am at the Community of Christ Church, 1803 S. Broadway, Oak Grove, MO  64075.
