William “Bill” McCain, 85, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11th at First Bible Baptist Church, 1441 SE Adams Dairy Pkwy, Blue Springs, MO. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Bible Baptist Church (for City Union Mission, Second Mile Ministry and Bryon Callaway).
William was born January 12, 1930 in Odessa, Missouri, the son of Andrew and Nettie McCain. William married Marjorie Joyce Nebgen on May 25, 1957. He was a member of First Bible Baptist Church, head of maintenance at City Union Mission for over 20 years, a volunteer at Camp Cumcito, Second Mile Ministry, God’s Mountain, and head of youth at City Union Mission. Bill and Marjorie served faithfully in the Children’s Ministry at First Bible Baptist Church.
William is preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Joyce McCain, of the home; son, Steven McCain (Robin) of Independence, MO; 2 daughters, Deanna McCain Dennis (Milt) of Independence, MO, and Roxann McCain Larkins (Tom) of Lee’s Summit, MO; 7 grandchildren, Kaylee Larkins, Colton Larkins, Tyler Dennis, Jon Dennis, Jason Dennis, Jessica Dennis, and Kristin McKee; and many other friends and relatives.
