Christina Marie McClellan, 51, of North Kansas City, formerly of Independence, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Northcare Hospice House, North Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2nd at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.; funeral at 11:00 a.m. Cremation following. The family will gather after the services at 17202 E. Bundschu Road, Independence.
Christina was born October 12, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of James A. Brady and Betty (Rice) Brady. She had lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. On December 23, 1994, she was united in marriage to Donald James McClellan of Independence. Christina had been a dental assistant for Dr. Nelson in Independence and later worked as a custodian for the Liberty School District, until her health forced her to retire. She was a member of the Catholic faith. Christina loved to sing and had performed at Arrowhead, WHB Radio and even on the Gong Show. She also loved to draw and do art.
Survivors include her husband, Donald J. McClellan of the home; daughter, Amber Sergent of Kansas City, MO; father, James Brady of Springfield, IL; mother & stepfather, Betty & Larry Lasiter of Springfield, MO; brother, Matthew Lasiter of Springfield, MO; and granddaughter, Averie Hutton of Kansas City.
