Carol Sue McWhirt, 83, of Holden, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

Carol was born April 26, 1935, in Holden, Missouri, the daughter of Tom and Bessie (Gardner) Cantrell.  She married William “Jack” McWhirt on March 18, 1955.  Carol was a music teacher and loved teaching children.  She loved playing and teaching piano.  She enjoyed holidays, especially Christmas, going to the beach, and lighthouses.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her nine brothers and sisters.

Her survivors include her husband, Jack McWhirt of the home; four children: Donna Jones (Lewis) of Independence, MO, Terry McWhirt (Liz) of Lawrenceville, GA, Rick McWhirt (Anita) of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Andy McWhirt (Shawn) of Shawnee, KS; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
