Anita Earlene Moore, 95, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Shangri-La Rehab & Living Center, Blue Springs, MO. Services will be held on Friday, April 19th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, with visitation at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Memorial at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
Anita was born on June 25, 1923, in Eureka, Kansas, the daughter of Dr. Earl W. and Cora M. (Root) Fitch. She was a registered nurse at Research Hospital from 1973 – 1985. Anita attended First Baptist Church of Oak Grove and was a member of the LIFT Sunday School class. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, making crafts, and especially being around family.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Eugene Paul Moore in 1973; her son, William Moore in 2007; sister, Dorothy Vanderbilt in 2007; her mother Cora; her father Earl; and stepmother, Thelma Fitch.
Her survivors include her daughter, Marsha Moore of Oak Grove; four grandchildren: Christine Mallett, Robert Mallett II (Aloha), Kimberly Tunnel (Donnie), and Kenneth Moore; six great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Warren Fitch of Texas, and James Black of Kansas.
