William Harry Offutt, 95, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 30th at Waldensian Cemetery, Monett, Missouri.
William was born June 22, 1920 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Harry and Salina (Jackson) Offutt. He was a tool & die maker and worked for Vendo Company during WWII, and then owned a machine shop in the Leeds District in Kansas City until he was 90. William was a Royal Arch Mason and a Southern Baptist Deacon.
William was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Irene (Baker) Offutt. His survivors include his daughter, Jeannine Offutt of Independence; son, Stephen Offutt of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren: John Offutt of Independence, Tim Offutt of Los Angeles, & Ginny Howell of Lenexa, KS; and three great-grandchildren.
