Norris Edward Pagel, 94, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8th at First Baptist Church, Grain Valley. Graveside will be at 3:00 p.m. in Walnut Hill Cemetery, near Armstrong, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
Norris was born August 30, 1921 in Boonesboro, MO, the son of Amiel and Elma (Wells) Pagel. He was a graduate of Glasgow High School. Norris served in the Army, where he was a Technical Sergeant in the Radar Mechanic Fighter Squadron in Europe during WWII. He received six bronze medals. Norris worked as a technician at Western Electric for 36 years.
Norris is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Marjorie; his brother, A.G. Pagel; and two sisters, Helen Quinley and Rosie Lee Coy.
Survivors include his son, Larry (Sharon) Pagel of Grain Valley; three grandchildren: Melissa (Nick) Solomon of Kansas City, Jeff Pagel of Grain Valley, and Danny (Catherine) Pagel of Lee’s Summit, MO; and four great-grandchildren: Madison, Hailee, Carlee, and Morgan.
