Robert Earl Phillips, 90, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 24th in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Robert was born July 5, 1926 in Independence, Missouri, the son of Robena Howell. He married Lola Bell Leach in May 1950, and she preceded him in death in May 1984. Robert retired from General Motors, where he worked on the assembly line.
He was in a country & western band and loved playing the steele guitar. He also loved his church work in Dawn Bible Study.
Robert is survived by two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and several nieces & nephews.
